Big Data Congress 2016 in October

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

We’re excited about a lot of things. Especially the “Internet of Things” or IoT as it’s sometimes referenced. That is, all those devices, gadgets and pieces of equipment that are connecting to the Internet. For the consumer it may be as simple as a Nest thermostat so you can control your home temperature. For a factory it may be as simple, yet as complex, as managing the HVAC systems from an iPad. And everything in between.

Either way you look it, that’s a lot of sensors generating, well, Big Data. Far more than any Excel spreadsheet can ever handle. To make Big Data work best, you need to bring in an awful lot of it and from many sources. That’s what the Big Data Congress IV will be focusing on in 2016.

Visit the Big Data Congress website to stay tuned on details, follow our Twitter account @BigDataCongress or our LinkedIn page for updates, registration, keynote and schedule information over the coming months. We will be sure to keep you updated on our blog. This year, founding company T4G will be presenting and hosting the Big Data Congress October 3-4 in Saint John, New Brunswick. A great port city nestled on the east coast at the mouth of the Saint John River. It’s a great place to visit anytime of year and especially so in October with the vibrant autumn colours as backdrop to what will no doubt be an incredibly insightful two days.
